EPA Proposes to Expand Regulations to Include Trailers
EPA working alongside NHTSA is looking to create a new regulation to reduce trailer greenhouse gas "emissions" and "fuel consumption"
Following up on their 2011 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standards and Fuel Efficiency Standards for Medium- and Heavy-Duty Engines and Vehicles rule, EPA & NHTSA have introduced a Phase 2 of that rule which will, for the first time, include trailers as a part of the standards.
